final impressions blog - June 06

June 24, 2006 - Busy. Busy. Busy.

I haven't been able to post for some time now because we have just been swamped with work. We have added several new clients including Northwest Saving Bank’s new branch office here in Rochester.

We are also busy preparing for our next show at in the Cornhill district in Rochester. This show will primarily feature my Rochester urban artwork. After that show, we are off to State College for the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, here we will feature work of Pennsylvania, Acdadia N.P. and Adirondacks. Below is a print from my State College portfolio, the famous Mt. Nittany.

Last week I shot Cook Forest State Park in Pennsylvania. This wonderful forest in North Western Pa. not only has some 250-300 year old growth hemlocks, but also has a wonderful pine forest. I always called these "lodge pole" pines, but have no idea what their real name is.

Homearama this year provided me with an opportunity to display some of my other photographic artwork. The Newcastle Home build by Mike DeNero, and decorated by Natalie Brown offered me an opportunity to not only develop a pastel color line of artwork, but also allowed me to present some of my abstracts.

This B&W was taken of the moon reflections on the Genesee River around 1AM. The designs were created by the moon reflecting on the waving river with about a 1 second exposure.
