Woodland Hike

Many people enjoy hiking Buttermilk Falls Trail in Ithaca New York. However few people actually hike the trail on the other side of the road after the Cascades. This is called Bear trail and it continues to follow the stream though a wonderful forest. On this particular spring day the sun was coming in from the left of the image and lighting up all of the new bright green foliage. It is said that this trail ends at a reservoir but I haven't been that far on the trail yet.
