Print Numbers

Reading the Number on your Final
Impressions Print
On each print, under the window mat, I've
printed a number such as:
This number is also on the print card
in the back pocket of the print. This number identifies
the year, camera, field trip and camera image number.
I began this sienna toned artwork and
style in 2002, at that time, I decided I needed a numbering
system that could be used by my clients to get information
about their prints. So the following system was developed:
Each year is represented by a number,
so in 2002 of course I started with a 2. Each field
trip is designated as a portfolio, so the first set
is portfolio year 2002 (p2). The next number is the
date of the field trip. In the above example May 19
(0519).
The next letter designates the camera
designation.

and the final number indicates the image
number, in this case it was the 66th image I took with
my first camera for this style (00066).
So p2-0519 is portfolio of May 19, 2002.
Some time in the future I'm going to write
up a ship field trip report and have that posted so
each owner can know what I was doing and thinking for
each trip I took.
